The Teamsters Canada Foundation is pleased to announce a generous $10,000 contribution from Globe Life AIL Canada. The donation was presented this week at our national office in Laval, where Teamsters Canada President François Laporte met with representatives Morgan Breier and Jacqueline Lowe for the official cheque hand-off.

Globe Life AIL Canada has positioned itself with a clear message: union values matter in financial services. During the presentation, Jacqueline Lowe underlined the importance of offering a product that is produced entirely by union labour, from the people who sell insurance policies to the teams who handle underwriting and administrative support.

For her part, Morgan Breier highlighted that workers throughout the company benefit from collective bargaining. In her view, that reality strengthens the service offered to policyholders because “everyone who plays a role in providing protection for families is covered by union standards and representation.”

The donation will help the Foundation continue supporting charitable initiatives that make a difference in the lives of workers, families, and communities across the country. Whether through supporting food banks, women’s shelters, cancer research, single parents’ association and more, contributions like this one help expand the Foundation’s reach.

Teamsters Canada President François Laporte expressed his appreciation for the donation. “Support like this shows what can happen when organisations take their role in society seriously and choose to invest in people,” he said.

The Foundation thanks Globe Life AIL Canada for its continued support, and for championing an approach to business rooted in workers’ rights, good jobs, and stronger communities.
